Problem with connection S7 317-2DP and SIMIDRIVE 611U via Profibus DP3

MaximNevmer Advanced Member Joined: 2/10/2010 Last visit: 11/21/2023 Posts: 35 Rating: (0)	Dear all, I am trying to parametrizing the SIMODRIVE if 611U (Control board 6SN1118–0NH01–0AA0) with SimoComU. Via PC -> RS232 -> 611U the task solved correctly. But if I trying to do that with MPI -> S7 317 -> PROFIBUS -> 611U interfaces, the message «Slaves not found» is appear (procedure "Searching PROFIBUS Slaves"). After SimoComU starting the message "831: Profibus is not in data transfer condition (Warning)" is appearing. Indication on Profibus module 6SN1114–0NB01–0AA0 is red, which means «non cyclic communication» mode. As I mean, S7 317 has all necessary settings (rack is configured in Hardware Config; net configuration is done in NetPro; net addresses are set (MPI, Profibus, IP); Master and Slave in Hardware Config are set; PZD area and message frame for Profibus communication is set too; axes configuring in S7 Technology are done; S7 Technology data blocs are compiled and putted into the program). Profibus settings are corresponding with project settings, which I parametrized to the drive by SimoComU. Please, how to solve that problem, as the general goal is to create close-loop position control with S7 317 - 611U. Max

I can only give your a tip to try. if it works post some feed back info. you can check manual 611U from DoconWeb. in Ch. 5(see attach.) set bit 10="1" HTH Attachment 611U_PZD.zip (446 Downloads)

Once again, environment of my problem is as follows. I have loaded the project 611u_39 with Function Block FB 83 from SIMODRIVE 611U 12.2 Package/toolbox_120101. It was loaded correctly to controller and truly executing by the CPU. My question: How can I test the Profibus working cycle process? For clarity: HW Config (see attachment), Profibus parameterization (see attachment), drive configuration (see attachment). After SimoComU starting the message "831: Profibus is not in data transfer condition (Warning)" is still appearing. Is it enough what I have in my project for correctly Profibus working? I have read a manual 611U, and its chapter 5. Sorry, I am beginner at S7 300/Simodrive.. So, I don’t know how to set bit 10="1" in STW1. Please tell me some kind of instruction. Thank you for your help. =========================== Hi,I am so bussy these days. make it shortly: if you are beginer of Step7, I suggest U change 611U config. in Profibus the parameters for both I/O from 256 to 100 , save-->complie--> download to PLC. then you will have input/output starting address IB100 and QB100 for Axis 1. don't call FC/FB , just try the program in OB1: OB1 set =Q100.2 // this is what i metioned the bit10 in control word download OB1 to PLC, power on reset PLC and 611U I think you will get Green LED on Option card of 611U and No 831 alarm. you can continue to try other functions if you read Ch.5 for 611U, or later i will check my sample project to show U more tips when I have time. howevery post your result and good luck.

I tried to follow your tips: - I change 611U config. in Profibus the parameters for both I/O from 256 to 100 , save-->compile--> download to PLC. - I wrote the program in OB1: set =Q100.2 - I download OB1 to PLC and my System data with HW Config, power on reset PLC and 611U After resetting PLC the program is truly executing by CPU, but it is still Red LED lighting. I have understood your tip, that after the OB1 there is no anything else (FB, FC…) what I must to downloading in my PLC. Am I right? I have 611U block (6SN1118-xN00-0AAx) in my HW Config, but in real hardware I have Simodrive 611 with SN 6SN1118-0NH01-0AA0. So I have no block in HW Config with SN 6SN1118-0NH01-0AA0. My catalog in HW is up-to-date. Can the difference of HW Config and real hardware be the problem? Is the block with SN 6SN1118-xN00-0AAx can be a universal configuration for my real hardware? I have read Ch5 on English and in Russian translate. I have understood, that Control words (as STW1, STW2, NSET_A…) must be created as Data Blocks in PLC program. Am I right?
