install DiagMonitoring in a server (monitoring PC)

jzhu Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi there, I am trying to install diagMonitoring software (V4.4.2) in our server (Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition Service Pack 2). The idea is to use the server as a monitoring PC to monitor the IPCs in our network (which are 627Bs and 627Cs). I have successfully installed the software in the IPCs, but I am having trouble installing the software inthe server PC. I have enabled SNMP service and traps. The software installs half way, then a window pops up says "transferring licence" then it goes into an error message. I couldn't figure out why it would do that. I have tried to install the software in a "clean" laptop, I tested itin a local network environment (i.e. havethe laptop and an IPC hooked up via a router). The softwareinstalls in the laptop and I was able to monitor the IPC. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Attachment Capture.JPG (261 Downloads)

jzhu Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hey K!ke, No this is the first time I am trying to installing the Diag software in this particular server PC as a management station. There is noany other previous version installed. The log file was sent to Siemens online support and this is what I got back: "The development (team)had analysed the log file. Service of the DiagMonitor could not start. In this case you get this error message. So, please deinstall the DiagMonitor again and restart the device. After that please start the setup routine again." I have tried to restart the server, uninstall and install again, still no luck. Both SNMP service and SNMP trap service are enabled. I am wondering if anyone ever installed Diagmonitoring on a PC with Windows 2003 server operating system as a management station? Attachment DiagMonitor@14-07-04_09-58-11.zip (237 Downloads)
