Hi Benedikt, as far as I know, the driver is still coming. Alternatively you can also connect I/O peripherals via our new MultiFieldBus IM of the ET200SP and then implement a Mudbus communication to this in Node-Red. https://mall.industry.siemens.com/mall/en/WW/Catalog/Product/6ES7155-6MU00-0CN0 best regards Thomas

Hello Benedikt, As mentioned above, we still don't have the Driver. In our old examples we are actually using the IOT as Profinet Controller / Master. So you could e.g read/write I/Os of peripherals using Profinet I/O. Best Regards! |

Hi, I try to clarify and I hope I am right. The SIMATIC Industrial OS 1.5 contains the PN Driver (as a binary/.so on the device) and you don't need to buy a PN Driver license (6ES7195-3AA05-0XA0). You can find some more information here. You maybe still need the development kit I guess (6ES7195-3AA00-0YA0). This would include the documentation and all needed files. Maybe I am completely wrong on this. Back to the IOT2050: Btw. the PN Driver is only a PN Controller, not a Device. And you create programs for it with C/C++. The way to use is the same as with the IOT2040 example you mentioned. Best regards! |

Hi,
I was wron on this, sorry. If you select the PNDriver during installation on the IPC the build environment is also installed (besides the binary of the driver). So you have everything you need and there is no need to purchase the development kit. For an example you can stick to the IOT2040 one or this one. Best regards! |
