Touch Screen Problem

luigi.mazzoni@mec... Posts: 3 Rating: (1)	Hi, I'm starting a new line of machines with 8 Simatic HMI IPC577C (6AV7885-2AV10-1DA8). The only software installed is WinCC Flexible Runtime 2008 SP3. With one of them the touch screen stop working (it worked for 20 days...) With the "Pointer Device" utility (to calibrate the touch) I see that no hardwarewas detected (this utility start with "Evaluation Version 100 Click" on the bar of the window). The only way I found to restore the funtion of Touch Screen was to "restore" the whole system with the DVD and reinstalling the software (WinCC flx) The PC seems to work good. Now I've the same problem with another PC: the touch stop working (after 10 days)and the utility "Pointer Device" do not detect any hardware: I don't won't to restore the system... ...someone could help me to restore the touch function without restore the system??? Thank you

Search in C/D drive for the driver backups,in that you can find UPDD driver. Install the driver first. If driver is not installed, callibration option in control panel will be like cemented. After installing the driver, you can find driver under updd console popup in control panel or (start->programs->UPDD->settings) . please find the attached file.
