I understand that these are "wing gates". Usually, standard cheap swing gates do not have limit switches at all. They react to time and load. They have: 2 wings and 2 motors and one light sensor that looks from one goalpost to another. In this way, the light sensor does not know anything about when something gets in the way of the goal's movement, it only sees whether there is an obstacle between the goalposts (end point) or not. And at the same time, the gate must stop and/or go back if something gets in the way. (This overload response link is also found on many sliding gates.) So.. we should start with security, how to ensure the safe operation of the gate. First.., Which motors are installed on the gate, how it work is regulated and how the load data on the motors is measured And second from there.., work-cycles, switches, working situations/ emergency situations, ...etc. |
