No Connection to Data Server! Error for Alam Control Object in WinCC V8.0

Brs.chn Joined: 7/22/2022 Last visit: 12/6/2025 Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi Everyone, I am working with WinCC V8.0 and i have a problem with Alarm Control object. I have more than 1000 alarm in Long Term alarm archive so to see them i added pagination. When i click to next page or previous page toolbar buttons, it says "No connection to Data Server!". First page and last page buttons working properly. CCAlgRtServer.exe and SQL Server is running and I deleted .dcf file and restart runtime. It is working on Server PC. Also, I reloaded the server packages. I don't want to use date selection to see all of them, i just want to use this pagination property. Does anyone know the solution? I contacted Siemens support, and they noticed the issue and will forward it to the development team. In my case, the archived data is being read from the Process Historian, and from what I understood from them, Alarm Control is reading alarms from PH in the wrong order, which then leads to the issue when switching from one page to another. I haven’t had any disconnection issues with the Data Server. I am also using WinCC v8.0.0. I definitely recommend contacting Siemens support, as they will surely help you.
