DefaultUser always logged in – Local user management not working (Sinumerik IPC + TIA V19)

OpenLogic Automation Joined: 6/6/2024 Last visit: 11/28/2025 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello, I'm having an issue with local user management on a Sinumerik IPC running WinCC Unified Runtime. After deploying my project from TIA Portal V19, the Runtime always logs in as `DefaultUser`, and I can't activate local user management. In the Runtime Control Center, I get a "General error" when trying to start local user management. I already tried stopping and restarting the Runtime, and redeploying the project completely. Do you run the project locally on the Engineering System in Simulation mode? (you can see it in Runtime Manger) or do you have loaded it with the download dialog into the local Runtime and have started as PC Runtime (Type Project)? -< in this case you have to login, a RT start without logging in is only possible in Simulation (and then with DefaultUser) Bye Murof

I have installed WinCC Unified PC Runtime V19 update 4 on a Simatic IPC277. Before i had installed WinCC Unified PC Runtime V20 but i had some problems with V20, so I deinstalled V20 and installed V19. Since then I encounter problems with the Local User Management. I don't get any login dialog, and after a while it will start RT with DefaultUser. In the Simatic Runtime Manager it says it is a Project type. I already tried complete rebuild and download. Also deleting the entire IM folder from the project and then download again. No success at all.
