I have a question.
Currently I'm doing a project using an ET200S CPU. The IM151-8 PN/DP (6ES7 151-8AB01-0AB0) to be exact.

This CPU is going to communicate with an MP377 15" panel and it needs to communicate with two Invertek Optidrive E3 drives.

The communication to the MP377 should not be a problem, but the communication to the drives is a big question for me.

First I wanted to buy a profinet connector from Invertek, but this unfortunately doesn't work with the installed drives from Invertek.

Invertek told me Modbus was a possible option, but now when I try to program it, it seems like the CPU either doesn't support it or I am doing something wrong.

In the videos I've seen online about modbus communication with s7-300/400 CPU's they used the MODBUSPN block together with a technology object.
Only the big difference between the videos and my current program is that I cannot add the technology object.

Is there anyone that maybe knows if this problem is common, or that the CPU simply does not have Modbus communication?

ps. Current version of TIA Portal I'm using is V14
