NC PLC connect issue after power down

StephenJ2014 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi, I'm currently working on a Mandelli M14 with a Siemens 840D control, NCU 573.2/32mb, MMC103 windows 95 Soft 5.3, Simatic S7-300 i/o When the machine is shut down and isolated, upon powering up again, the plc/nc wont connect, forcing me to clear the NC and PLC and reload archives. The machine will run fine until you shut it down. This was at first only happening if you left the machine isolated for a few days, but it is now happening after only a few minutes of isolation. Both the NCK battery and the MMC battery are ok Are there any other batteries or anything likely to cause this issue?

It means D RAM is not getting sufficient power. So normally battery is the problem. So check & trace for any loose connection or loss of contact of battery module to NCU. At site its not possible to check it on line. So send the NCU box along with NCU card to nearest Siemens service center for necessary checking & rectification. HTH.
