PCS 7 Client server problem

Prats Posts: 272 Rating: (4)	Dear All, I recently worked on a PCS & client server system. The server were redundant, i faced a problem in data transfer between the two servers. Alllthough time syncronization was working properly,. When i switched off one of the redundant server the other server was not able to update the client data. What might be the possible cuse for the problem. Ideally the clients should be updated. Also it took around 15 mins for time syncronisation, is this a normal delay ? Regards Prat

If you means Server took 15 minutes to re-synchronize data when 2nd Servergone in Runtime again the answer is yes....that time is whatnned to synchronize a medium database. Can you give more information about Server/Client configuration? - what version are you using(try to check Simatic Shell in redundant option if you configured well) - how generate server data - how configured server data on the client Regards
