Hello experts,

(Heads up, I'm new to to both these programs and didnt grasp everything I need to know yet)

I have a problem and I can't seem to solve it myself. I tried the last two weeks and got nowhere. And I didnt find any information online that worked for my problem.

I have a TIA Project in TIA V15.1 and want to import it into Simit V11.1.

As far as I learned, there are two ways to do this:

1. Copy the HWCNExport file (.oms), then import into Simit project via Simit Unit -> oms import (S7-1200 /1500)

2. Use the HWCN_Exporter application to export an .XML file, then xml import in Simit

In the first case, I cant select the .oms files because they(yes there are somehow always two that get created)don't show up. But they're 100% in this folder. Does it have to be a specific .oms format to work?

In the second case I can select the files but then the "import" button is grayed out. But why?

I can't seem to find any solution to this.

I tried reinstalling both TIA and Simit. Tried installing it on VMs. Tried other versions. Always the same problem.

What am I doing wrong?

The Virtual Controller simulates the response of a SIMATIC controller of type S7-300 or S7-400. If you're using a PLC1500 in your TIA project, you'll need PLCSIM or PLCSIM Advanced V5 UPD2.
