Parameters nmissing and error on safety I/O

burnett Posts: 64 Rating: (8)	Hello, I have an ET-200M with safety I/O connected to my CPU 417-4H. The ET-200M module has a DI24 (1BK01), 2 DO10 (2BF01) and a AI6 (1HE00). After parameter assignment according to the manual and downloading safety the first module states: "Parameter assignment error (Parameter number 11)" This doesn't change when I disable channels or put in other parameters. The second module (DO) states" Parameter assignment error", "Wrong parameters on Module" and "Module not assigned parameters". Which is quite confusing because what is true? My AI6 has the same problems as the DO. I'm up for any and all solutions, explanations and tips. Kind regards, Burnett

I changed my adress range and changed my dipswitch setting to match, this at least seems to have solved my parameter problem but I still get Q-bad on my emergancy stop connection. Kind regards, Burnett Never mind, the x time I downloaded the Safety program it started working, at least I have the DI working now, I can only hope the DO is going to work today allso. I have problems on parameter 16, would be nice if there was an actual connection between parameter errornumbersand parameters, I have yet to find one.

I putthe IM153-2 on profibus 30 a DI24 on adress 8 and a DO10 on 24. The dipswitches on the DI and DO correspond with their adresses.I attached the module information. burnett Posts: 64 Rating: (8)	Hello Phantom, I asked Siemens support that same question, but they said something about difference between distributed safety and F-I/O, which I didn't quite get, but apparently there was no problem? Anyway as it turned out newer version I/O modules have octal numbered dipswitches while older modules only havebinary ones. So in ourI/O the first module was set the old way, and the newer I/O moduleswith octal numbering. Example: 296 old module binary 0123456789 0001010010 new module octal 8 16 32 64 128 256 512 1024 2048 4096 1 0 1 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 Works like a charm. Thank you kindly for your time, Burnett
