Aristotelis Posts: 147 Rating: (34)	Hi It seems there are some practical questions on my behalf, regarding the functionality of the S7-1200 and its ability to replace the S7-200 at - some - applications. Is it possible to provide solutions using the S7-1200 at its current state (peripherals, libraries, etc.), or should one rely on the good ol' S7-200? I would like to implement a data logging application, similar to the one developed by S7-200 and the Data Log Wizard. It looks like the memory cartridge for S7-200 is the equivalent of the memory card of S7-1200, but can the memory card be used to log data, even in an unofficial way? By "unofficial" I mean without the use of a wizard, just dumping the acquired data (timestamped of course) in a memory area located in the memory card, and then through Profinet (or somehow) to extract it in a PC, preferrably in a format like .csv, or something similar? The retentivity of the data is of critical importance, hence the use of the memory card. If the extraction is not possible with the current tools provided, is there a possibility to program a windows application somehow? Thank you Aristotelis

Denilson Pegaia Platinum Expert Joined: 9/23/2005 Last visit: 9/10/2025 Posts: 4416 Rating: (1485)	Hi, Unhapply I hadn't time yet to test the new function, however, here there is some information about it: 1 - Is avaliable in TIA V11 and S7-1200 FW2.0. 2 - In the software you can create, write, open and close arquives (logs). 3 - You can save variables in CSV format with or without a heather. 4 - You don't need necessary to use SD cards. 5 -You access the logs throught the Web interface of the CPU.

Hamed shamam Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	I have used the example of the data log creation , it works okay, but if when I recycle the power or the PLC go stop and run it gave an error 8093, so I have to delete the CVS file from the web server, then recycle the power or use stop run function to resume. I have done this example in TIA V11 and V12. what you recommend to avoid the 8093 error?
