Jackcaress Silver Member Joined: 3/12/2015 Last visit: 9/1/2025 Posts: 555 Rating: (15)	Good morning forum, I have a sinumerik 828D which controls three axis one linear and two rotary axis The two rotary axis are tables that turn 360° but the problem that I'm having is that when I ask the machine to go to C0F1000 (0 from the rotary axis) it has to turn all the opposite way that I have previously turned. For example I have a program that needs it to turn +2000° but when that is finished I have to position the plate to 0° but when I do a C0F1000 it has to turn -2000° Is there by way to tell the machine to only count 360°? Please attach snap shot of C axis (press vertical AXIS +) so that next axis screen page will be displayed, in your case, assuming 3rd axis as C axis,,top right side display will be AX3:MX3/SERVO_3.3.4. This page will be of C axis. Attach the snap of same page. HTH

I am doubtful since parameter setting will not permit this & alarm would pop up. Anyway to reslove your basic problem, change MD30455 & set to 4, press RESET key & apply below command. G90 C0F1000 & check.

Command applied is G90 POS[C0] = 0 F1000. Actual should have applied as G90 POS[C] = 0 F1000. But anyway please check as replied in my earlier reply. i.e. wait & see if X axis reaches a nearest position in multiples of 360 deg, stops & set = 0

Right now I moved it to 719.999 then back to 0 and it moved -719.999. Sorry for putting the program in wrong before it has been a long day. Does C axis active encoder is of motor or has external encoder directly coupled to C axis? Please check. One more point I suggest you to check as below. (here I presume C axis MD 30455 is set to 4) 1. Apply command & rotate C axis say from 0 deg to +170 deg (C+170 F1000). Stop their & then G90 C0 F1000. At this command check how C axis returns to 0 deg i.e. in opposite direction when it rotates to +170. 2. Apply command C+220 F1000 & check direction of rotation. Then after C reaches at +220 deg, apply C0 F1000 & see in which direction C rotates to reach at 0 deg. Please share results of point no 1 & 2 here.

Does system needs to display +360 deg for 1 RPM (CW), + 720 deg for 2 ROM (in CW direction), 1080 deg for 3 RPM (in CW direction), -180 deg for 1/2 RPM (in CCW) etc. etc.? or display only between 0 to 360 deg only i.e. after 359.999 deg it should display 0 deg? 3. Have you activated or want to limit direction or rotational speed/RPM of C axis?
