SolutionFinder Posts: 559 Rating: (87)	Dear Friends, I faced a strange problem. At one site there is a CPU 414-2DP installed. The program was running perfectly & there was no problem at all. Now client has given some suggestions & accordingly I downloaded the change in logic. As soon as I tried to download the same the problem of memory bottleneck error has occurred & then I couldn't download the kogic. Then I checked the memory of the CPU & observed that the load memory was loaded upto 98% & i couldn,t download the backup into CPU directly. Then I downloaded whole backup into flashcard through CPU itself. Now as soon as I reset the memory of CPU & restarted the same. My CPU Is not able to go into run mode & run led is continuously blinking & stop led was continously ON. I put the CPU into same condition up to 30 min. But no solution there was a same condition. Please reply solutions.

Please reply solutions. In Simatic manager go online and delete all the blocks from the memory card and then download the whole software again. Beware that you may need to take a backup from the datablocks first to avoid any loss of set points made by customer.

Hi last 3 month ago i was faced the same.problem in one of client sight but i was commissioning S7-300 plc 315 PN/DP. what i did i was uploaded first amd was copied and stord in some o ther directory.and another copy i was modified then down loaded i was face continues LED (run) LEd later iwas deleted all block except SFB. then cleard mymory. after that i was downloaded only hard ware all fine later complete all block copy and pasted there again downloaded all block with logical program now every thing working fine.

Hello, have you tried memory reset after removing the memory card from plc? i did it once in similar case. please make sure program is empty after memory reset & download only hardware configuration first. once cpu comes in run mode after that download user program. But here i guess problem with memory capacity hence you are facing this problem. i am not sure but may be memory card capacity is not adequate to store your user program.

SolutionFinder Posts: 559 Rating: (87)	Dear All, First of all thanks a lot who replied me immediately. The problem has been solved. The thing is that on my profibus netwirk almost 32 slaves are there. And this is very old CPU whose internal load memory is only 8KB. So I could not download the whole backup into PLC also directly. In this case all the time I have to load backup into Flash card of 256KB & from that only CPU gets the backup to run. When I do this procedure during profibus cable connected to CPU, It gives me error as mentioned above. After that I removed profibus cable from the PLC & then I could easily transfer the backup into Flash Card also & CPU goes into RUN mode very easily. After that if I connect profibus cable to PLC, it works fine. So the problem was of profibus. I don't why it was happening, but solved.
