I have a problem with PCIN DOS DATA OUT .(Sinumerik 810D PCU20)

when I try to upload arc file to machine, transfer is stopped by memory error.

I tried with winpcin and Sinucom PCIN, results are the same.

My questions:

1- whats the problem?(I attached the  procedure that i used)

2- can i do series start up via memory card and how?

 You have winpcin  transfer steps to 810D is very good. memory card series start up is possible for 810D ver. 4.5 or higher, But can you post screen shot for your error--"memory error" as if you don't settle that error, you may possible fail even using card stsrt up.

and if it was lower than version, whats the right procedure for uploading data to machine?

 You post pictures (maybe more than one) in *.ar format, which I cannot open with company PC( company safety policy) . I will try to check it when I have time at home.

one thing is sure Don't try DOS PCIN, you may try Winpcin to see have some luck

But I can give you some tips for using Card to reload the NCK /PLC archive to the 810D system .

there are 2 ways and 2 type of cards --

#1--check your 810D , to see if there is PCMC card insert in CCU . some m/c builder making back up

to that card . the version I mentioned is for 840D (810D is compact 840D), I think your ver.6.5 should be OK.

just set password "SUNRISE" then --going to "services" area  --around DATA IN/OUT or series start-up, --in the right corner or vertical  --if you can find "NC card" or something , that is lucky --JUST PRESS to see are there NCK/PLC back up on it. you can direct load them if you can see them.

#2--I DON'T KNOW YOUR pcu20 has card slot or not. if yes, and you have memory card --same type with slot, insert it to see from services area --if there are NKC/PLC back up , you can do the same operation to down load them

I have a PCMCIA slot in ccu without any card also i have a PCMCIA slot without card on back of PCU20.

I tried with sinucom pcin and uploading is incompletely with error...

questions:

-whats the best cable interface and port setting?

-is there any configuration for upload arc file to machine via PCU20 com port?

 OK, you post pic's one by one I see them. Here is my tips for you.

#--Forget card loading as you have only slot no card with data ( 840D have card always insert but 810D CCU1 or CCU3 normally no card insert in slot after system finish set up)

#--From you pic.s I see your Baudrate already 9600, but still making buffer overflow error.

try to make rate reduce to 4800 or 2400 (both side need same --PC and PCU20), and try to removed all crossing in PCU20 setting --I see there are still 2  at STOP at ...EOF and ...LF

#--I did not check your post NC/PLC arc. --reminder ---are you sure that  you or some else never EDIT this file--I mean, you can not delete or insert any thing even "space"

#--do you have NCK arc. and PLC arc separate files, if yes transfer them one by one. I suggest NC 1st then PLC. as some PLC program or data need certain NCK data active.

PS: I saw you post same question in another title--you have PCU20+MMC100, make sure it is MMC100 or MMC100.2--check back cover.
