Hi to everyone,

I just completed  a PCS7 migration from 7.0 to 9.0. Everything works fine, except the WinCC DA server, when i try to connect from the client, i'm able to reach to the server, see all installed OPC servers, but when i try to connect to the OPCServer.WinCC, i got the error 0x80070005 "Access is denied. You need to configure your DCOM Security settings"

I've already checked many times the configurations between old and new WinCC server, and i've found one difference only (see the attached file), in the OPCServer.WinCC Properties, Location tab, the Run application on this computer, is not available, and i can't select it as in the old one it is.
Is that normal with PCS7 9.0?

Another doubt i have, is, with the previous configuration, server and client were running both Win 2003 server, now, the server is Win server 2016, and the client Win server 2003.

About yours experiences, is there any incompatibility between the two operating systems?

thanks for your reply, well, i've been able to establish the connection from the client, but another problem appear . even i connect localy with the OPC Scout, i'm able to connect till the Wincc server, but when i try to browse the tags, from the @LOCALMACHINE folder, i get the error "E_UNKNOWN_ITEM_NAME"

I'm really frustrated, because i don't know anymore what i have to check.

Any suggest?

I think something it's wrong with the WinCC project.

I've just created a new one with only one tag, and it goes good

What i sholud check in my PCS7 projects?
