padula Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Ihave a page with two valve. For each valveI have on the same page two dialagobox that call the same page insideVALVE.PDL How can I work with it? When I click on the first valve, I want that will open dialogbox1 with VALVE.PDL with relative variable that is different from the second valve. I don't want use prefix tag because some variable is not inside the structure of the valve (You can understand if you think about PID; the feedback is already usde for visualization).

When opening your popup, you check if the first available picture window is already opened, if it is already opened, open the second. I have done this with 6 different picture window. Now your parameters: in your picture which will be displayed in these picture windows you create Static Text fields and set their Visible option to false. When you open your popup, you simply write your tags name, or tag prefix names or whatever you want in these Static Text fields. With this I had used a kind of TagPrefix even before WinCC supported it. Is this what you need? Mike J

padula Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	ok! good document! but not the solution I have worked on it but I have already find many problem: 1. in this way you will increase the number of tag in the PLC communication with many problem: the first is the maximum number of tag; 2. if you already use a tag, thatis inside the popup, you will need necessary to copy that tag in the structured tag; this means two istance in the wincc-DB for the same tag (and need to make some C-code to copy from-to); 3. with tag prefix the online trend control doesn't work. In other SCADA system you can open a new windows and on the button you can make an associaton one-to-one. Then you write a simple code that open a window and make an association for example: the tag "ON" will be "POP1_ON" or better "MOTOR1_ON" and for same POPUP the tag "LIGHT" can be "MOTOR2_ON".
