I have meanwhile bought a new macbook that will be delivered with mac os big sur. currently i'm working on an imac 2011 osx 10.13 where i can't upgrade from my dvd installed lsc 8.1 to lsc 8.2.1. The installation program keeps saying it cannot find the correct files from the original installation (LSC 8.1) even though I specify the correct folder where the files are located. I can continue with the installation but afterwards do not want to open the newly installed version. since there are probably more LSC users with a mac encounter the same problem. Hence, this method can be a solution for many people. Make an ISO of the original install DVD and open it on the system so you can explore it. Install only the upgrade and address the Home of the ISO to vind the required licence. For older versions install DVD, address one of the sub directories of the ISO.
