Topology issue with scalance x-101-1

goldberg Regular Member Joined: 8/1/2017 Last visit: 9/25/2025 Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have a problem with adding the Scalance X-101-1 in network topology of a TIA portal V15.1 project. I add the device with the correct catalogue number (6GK5 101-1BC00-2AA3) to my hardware configuration topology view, add the connections as they are - one fiber optic cable link to the scalance switch and one profinet cable from the scalance switch to an ET 200SP module. When I download this hardware configuration the connection lines turn red and I get the error that ET200SP is connected to a different partner from what is expected. please refer to picture 1 if I am unclear. And when I just remove this scalance switch from the topology everything is showing as ok - picture 2. Any ideas on what could be the problem? And a related, more general question is, do I even need to define the topology? because it seems that everything works the same with or without topology Attachment topology issue.png (452 Downloads)
