Hi,

When you define a "text" tag in WinCC, it expects a "String" type in the plc.

A String in the plc has two bytes in front of the actual text.

The two bytes are the max number of characters that the string can contain, and the other is the current length of the string.

You should define a String in the plc and then move the "char" into that string and manually update these two bytes.

I do not remember if there is a function to tell an array of bytes to convert to a string.

Edit: I found the "Chars_to_String for the S7-1200/S7-1500 cpus.
