bg2492 Posts: 7298 Rating: (2188)	Hello SummerSeaSun, a "general protection fault" is an access violation. The C-script, which causes the error is in the picture "PROJECT\BASE", because lpszObjectName: and lpszPropertyName are "NULL", it is in the picture themselve on an event in the picture, maybe "OpenPicture". Access violations are usually caused by wrong handling of strings, see FAQ: "How do you efficiently and reliably program the processing of character strings (pointer to char, "String") in WinCC C scripts?" https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/7929092 Regards Georg Berghof

In this case I've rebooted the PC and the error apparently disappeared, now I'm looking at the OpenPicture event that should start an ANSI-C project function, it seems to follow the correct syntax as in the section: No memory reserved. But how could the memory access happen in random way? Thanks, BR
