WinCC 7.4SP1 UPD 17 - SIMATIC SHELL cannot see the server and client

jker Regular Member Joined: 5/17/2012 Last visit: 3/17/2025 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi All, I am facing some weird issue on SIMATIC SHELL after an update to update 17. before that, my SIMATIC SHELL is working fine, just some matter on the start picture in the client PC. after looking at the support, they suggest I update my WINCC to update 17. But after complete the update, my SIMATIC SHELL in CLIENT PC cannot detect server PC, and the setting cannot modify anymore. Did someone face the same issue before and maybe can give some advice for me. Thank you regards Jacker

bg2492 Posts: 7298 Rating: (2188)	Hello jker, You should check if the right network-adapter is selected futhermore for the Terminalbus. see FAQ: "How do you use the SIMATIC shell to configure the terminal bus of a WinCC station?" https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/25437381 An other reason could be, that the Multicast-Telegrams blocked by a firewall.
