WinCC v7.3 multi-server client project

My question whether we can create tags to check the connections of Clients and PLC'S connected to my SCADA network??

like status= high(when client1 is connected)

or Low for disconnected  PLC??

My aim is when anything gets disconnected /(communication problem) an indication gets high that shows a communication problem?

Hello Mussab,

you could use any one Tag (i.e. Bit) of the connection, and read
it with a C-script with a function i.e. "GetTagBitState".

BOOL GetTagBitState(Tag Tag_Name, PDWORD lp_dwstate);

Then can you check if the paramter lp_dwstate is 0x0000 (connection OK)
or > 0x0000 (connection not OK)
