Hello Drich,

the name of the logged in user can you find in the system-tag "@CurrentUser".
To find out the groupname is not so easy.
If you do not use Simatic Logon, you can have a look in the Configuration-Database
of the WinCC-project.
In the table "dbo.PW_USER" you can find the column "NAME" the names of users and
groups, and in the column "GRPID" the ID of the group the user belongs to.
With the ID of the group (which is >= 1000) you can find out the name of the group.

If you use Simatic Logon, you have no users in this table, but only the groups.
For Simatic Logon you can find a file "SL_ProgrammingGuide.pdf" in the folder
"C:\Users\Public\Documents\Siemens\SIMATICLogon\developmentkit"

Here can you find a description for the functions of Simatic Logon.

i.e. "GetLogon", which returns the current ‘SLS User’ and the groups to which the
user belongs.

To get the group yon can use also tie ODK function PWGENEnumGroups()

I was following the example in the link you sent.
In the example, only the user name and domain is checked. (ACT_username and ACT_domain).

Using HMIRuntime.Trace ACT_username, I was able to see ACT_username.
But if I try it with HMIRuntime.Trace ACT_group, or try to write ACT_group to a tag, I get an error "data does not exist"

From the SL programming manual, I understand it is of VARIANT type, and a String array. 
But how should I handle it to be able to read the group names?

EDIT:
I was able to read ACT_group after defining it as a string array before the call. However, now I realize it only returns the SID, not the group name, which requires using ISLSLogon3, not ISLSScripting(ISLSLogon2) interface.
The example given in the SL Programming manual is for C++, but I would like to use it in C or VBS within WinCC scripts. 
Are there any examples on how to initialize before calling the GetLogon function with ISLSLogon3?
