Hello to all forum mates.Recently i received a notice from a friend who wants to change some settings in program running on CPU 226, version with 220V AC power supply. He don't know anything about PLC's, so i decide to help him to do this task. I have Micro Win V4.0 installed and PPI adapter, versionRS232-RS485. Configuration of communication interface is: Station addres 10,Timeout 1s; Network parameters:Checkbox for Multiple Master Network is active,Speed is set up to 19,2 K.Port used on the PC side is COM1. On the adapter side speed is same(19,2) and i've tried both PPI master and PPI freeport options.Mi friend don't have any project or source code of the program, so i decide to do an upload from plc. As i read the PLC should be in STOP mode to do an upload.I've stopped the PLC and try to connect but with no succes. I don't know wich is the local addres of the PLC. On the port 0 is connected Micromasted 440 and on the port 1 is connected small operator panel with uknown brand for me (Berijer). Both are disconnected durig upload task and the controller is in STOP mode. I don't know what else to do because i've tried to connect on both ports. Any ideas or recommendations about this communication issue and how to do an upload will be greatly appreciated.

About how to set cable: Look at How should you set the DIP switches on the PC/PPI cable for communication with the S7-200? . About settings look at What should you watch out for when setting up a connection between a WinCC flexible PC Runtime and an S7-200 via an RS232/PPI cable? The last advice is in Microwin set in communication with "Search all Baud rates" check-box validated. Basicly the most important is type of cable which will be use. Can you give us exactly its number?

Cable is OK. 6SE7907-3CB30-0XA0 for a PPI Multimaster mode connection you set Switch 5 to switch position 1. The baud rate no longer needs to be configured. In your case you must start to change address untill you have success with connection. Of course with enalbe "Search all baud rates".

In PG/PC Interface sellect PC/PPI cable. With station address 0 transmission rate 9.6 kbps. In Microwin communication tab, becouse you don't know the address of PLC in address field start with 2 and enable "search all baund rates". After 3, 4 ...
