PCU50.5 long OS booting

PCU booting too long, from 5 to 14 minutes. OS boot waiting on command acpitabl.dat several minutes. When OS start normally then WinXP windows is displayed shortly an then come black screen for several minutes. Then Sinumerik continue with starting and all work fine. I found that it can be problem with drives,SATA controller... There was SATA SSD on the PCU, i tried to change HDD to standard rotary disk. I tried to change SATA port on the motherboard. All without effect. I looked for PCU Base SW version installed on the PCU, it was V1.2. I tried to update Base SW to version 1.4 - without effect. PCU - 6FC5210-0DF52-2AA0 PCU Base Software WinXP V1.4 for PCU 50.5 Attachment version.PNG (204 Downloads)

nulizhang Platinum Expert Joined: 10/17/2007 Last visit: 1/19/2026 Posts: 4579 Rating: (416)	You should know PCU 50 or 50.5 or 50.3 are all special PC running with Windows OS then Siemens SINUMERIK App. if you have issue with them, try to bring it to your local PC repair shop . I did the same thing for my PCU 50.5 and MMC103. remember bring the DC24V power supply as the PC shop will not work for you No body prepare that power , normally you no need take OP012 with you as you can use ext. display (VGA or new DVI) and ext. keyboard.
