WinCCWebBrowser control errors on javascript

Emazes Regular Member Joined: 3/14/2009 Last visit: 10/16/2025 Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Good morning, I am trying to use WinCCWebBrowser control with WinCC7.5 SP2 Upd5, to integrate a webBrowser into WinCC view. Each time I set a connection with a webpage I get the message "You are using an outdated browser. Please upgrade your browser to impove experience", and I get also script errors (see VIEW1) I tried to upgrade edge and get version 94.0.992.50 (Windows 10 - 1909), but same result. When I open the webpage directly onto Edge this is OK When I tried to connect onto a webpage of a sip5 protection it is ok on the first connection view (see VIEW2) . But I get an error after connection (see VIEW3). It seems that I have problem with javascript programs. I tried to use other controls like activeX: Microsoft Web Browser, Control .NET:System.Windows.Forms.WebBrowser without success. but don't know how to solve that problem. anyone had the same issue ? Its nearly like Internet-Explorer V8. see manual: "SIMATIC HMI WinCC V7.5 SP2 WinCC Information System" "Short Description of the WinCC Controls and Additional Controls" https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109792585/141572144139 WinCC WebBrowser Control Display function The WinCC WebBrowser Control displays static Web contents or CHM documents in process pictures. The Microsoft WebBrowser Control is something like Iternet-Explorer 11, which does not support all actual Websites too. Any kind of dynamic content like scripting is not allowed or rather its not supported and not working. You might use the VLC player and its control in WinCC but its used to visualize IP cameras. Finally, if you want to add a web view with a dynamic web site, you can only the normal web browser and use "programexecute" as c-script function and run it as external application along with WinCC. Regards
