Using a WinCC-Server as Client for an other Server

Mussab Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Similar query I have Server A with 5 Client(without project) and 2 seperate Server B and C. So as per given above recommendation I have to make SERVER B and C as clients in SERVER A. And also make SERVER A as a Client in SERVER B and C. with packages loaded respectively in each server. Through this arrangement i will be able to monitor SERVER B and C from the CLIENTS of SERVER A ?? Will there any problem in User Logins?? ALSO MY SERVER C has some Project function will i have to copy them in SERVER A?? Thanks in advance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from WinCC Server and Client at the same time.

bg2492 Posts: 7298 Rating: (2188)	Hello Mussab, you can not use a WinCC-Server as Client for an other Server. You can create on the 5 Clients own local WinCC-Multiclient-Projects. Than can you load the Serverpackages from all 3 Servers and access to all Servers from the 5 Clients. Or you can create a Server-Server-connection as describe from Bizur in the post from 3/1/2012 The user on the Servers should be identically. You need to copy all projectfunctions from the Servers to the Client-projects. Regards Georg Berghof

bg2492 Posts: 7298 Rating: (2188)	Hello Mussab, what kind of error do you get ? The picture windows have a property "Server Prefix". You need to write the name of the Serverpackage to it. Regards Georg Berghof
