Hi Everyone, 

I am working with a customer to try and realise the cause for a WinCC latency issue.

Currently there are 8 AB PLCs connected via the "Allen Bradley Ethernet IP" Driver, we have noticed that some of the graphics elements (indicators, valves, etc.) will take anywhere from 3-5 seconds to update when the graphics page is opened. 

In testing we have noticed that this is only occurring for tags associated with a few of the PLCs, in checking the channel diagnosis we have noticed that these PLCs have a large number of "Active Tags" (between 700-3000). I have a feeling this slow update is a limitation with the software given the high number of active tags, however I cannot find much information on this "Active tags" value to verify this. 

My questions are:

Has anyone encountered this issue before?

Does anyone know if it could be the "Active Tags" could be what is causing the issue?

Any ideas on other areas to look for the cause of the slow update?
