Good morning all

i have asked to have look at an existing program that it using an encoder for positioning a linear screw that is causing a lot of problems with following erros etc etc, now this program only does 3 positions which include the home position.

Now i am wanting to convert this to just using proximity sensors or another type of switch because in mind and for maintance this would be the simplyist solution for everyonbne involved.

the plc is a 1510 series and the drives are g120 CU250S-2 PN Vector

this is not my program and to be honest i have never setup these drives so i am asking is this relativly easy to do and also is there a specfic FB or setting within the drive for this sort of thing?
