Hello.

In WinCC the following compiler message comes up:
(Also see the attached image.)

WinCC compiler

The Tahoma font does not support the following characters: （, ）.

 
The message is not helpful. Clicking on the green jump-to link opens the runtime settings which does not help either. 

For which characters should I be looking for, in the Project Texts?

UPDATE

It seems as though the "PLC diagnostics" form is the source of the compile warning.

Could someone please confirm for me that they are also seeing this problem. I am using the default US English for the project.

A possible workaround would be welcomed, as I see no way yet around this one. I have already replace all editable texts within the form to something else.

Hello, I created a project with the KTP700 in English as PLC diagnostics in a template, I put some characters like the comma (,) in a text field and it didn't give warnings.

Did you try to recompile all in the project?

how are the languages, in the project?

.. Very strange. I even see a problem when creating a new project.
Would you mind checking if you can compile the attached project without warnings?
(..provided you have V17)

Unfortunately, I still don't have the V17,

if you want, try to change to version V16, which I try to compile here without any problems.

Thanks for letting me know. Unfortunately I do not have V16 installed anywhere. Besides that would add something to the test. It may be V17 specific. Let us hope someone else tries and give feedback.
