PCS7 V7 SP1 Problem with WinCC 7.0

Sadeghian_ASE Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have installed wincc 7.0. After that, i tried to install pcs7 V7.0 Sp1, but does not let it to install wincc 6.2. I ticked to install process Control for Wincc and also faceplate tools. Both of these softwares indicates incampatibility with wincc 7.0 and did not install. Has anyone got a solution for this problem? Thanks in Advance Sadeghian

Siemens Released wincc 7.0 but did not release a compatible version of PCS7. If there is one, would you please let me know. I love wincc V7.0 and do not want to deinstall and back to V6.2. I hope there is a SP or a release for this version of wincc. Best, Sadeghian

Just to clarify a bit: - WinCC v7.0 is the last release of WinCC (SP1 is coming shortly) - PCS7 v7.0 SP2 is last realease of PCS7 (v7.1 is coming shortly) PCS7 v7.0 SPx uses WinCC v6.2 SP2, if you want keep WinCC v7.0 you have to wait PCS7 v7.1. Be carefull, when you create a project using WinCC installed from PCS7 DVD you'll be not able to work on it using other station where native WinCC installed (you need WinCC from PCS7 installation) PCS7 and native WinCC works very different about alarm logging, works with different SIMATIC Net version, and other feature. If you need work with native WinCC and PCS7 boths, i suggest you to install on different partition (or virtual machine). Regards
