Dear all,

we had a project which was coded with PCS7 v8.1. after several years, we want to change some parts of the code with v9.1. In the old version, we had FB100 which was for S7-Communication for sending data to an S7-300 CPU with BSEND block and there was not any problem. After I compiled the code with the new version, The program wants to create FB100 which is a system function block and its Name (Header) is "OB_BEGIN". I have changed my FB name to FB103 and compiled the program. The compilation finished with no error. After downloading the program, the send function does not work (the receive function is ok.).

- Sender is an S7-400 (Programmed with PCS7)

- Receiver is an S7-300 (Programmed with Tia Portal)

I want to know what is my mistake in this process. I did not have any advanced experience in PCS7.

If you already use blocks in the user program that have the same block numbers, there is a block number conflict. So you have to rename this blocks. But you have to consider that you can only rename the blocks that are called directly in the user program, but not the blocks that called in the block itself.

So you have two options to rename the block:

• If you have the source file of the block, you have to adapt the source file with the new block number, then update the block in the CFC and compile and download the AS.
• If you don't have the source file of the block, you have to use the function rewire. With this function you can rename all blocks and block calls in other blocks.
