Hi all

I'm working on a Step7-WinCC project with a S7 400 CPU.

Is it possible to generate automatic alarms from Step7 using Alarm_8P (like what we do in PCS7) or I need to generate all alarms manually?

Alarm 8P configuration is always manually, when we use it in PCS7, alarms will be generated automatically and in wincc project alarm logging, you can see the configured alarms are generated. But the problem is that when I use it in Step7, alarms are not generated in alarm logging of the WinCC project.

The manual you pointed is a very good manual for TIA portal, But in Step7/WinCC things are a little different.
