Can you guys (Siemens Enployees) please explain how the "Trigger tag" function works. I want to start logging when a bit is true or flip-flopped from the PLC and need to start the logging this way. I must say, the configuration method in KPT screens is very weird compared to SCADA systems i usually use.

Hello Eydun A Trigger Tag works with the Events of the tag that you can set in the global HMI tags section. there is an easy example with the goal to change a screen in Runtime. there you can see how it generaly works: LINK The most important is to use the aquisition mode -> Cyclic continous Then you can use the most systemfunctinos that are available or start also Script s as the Panel supports it.
