Auto restart Node-RED

ks1905 Posts: 31 Rating: (1)	Hello, I am using the IOT 2050 with the Example Image and Node-RED as my OPC UA Client. To test my current flows I'm using the Prosys OPC UA Simulation Server. Tonight my OPC UA Client lost the connecting to the OPC server and, I think after to many injections to the flow without having a connection, my node-RED session closed. This morning I wanted to check my flows and it said "lost connection to server, reconnecting" Is it possible to automatically restart node red, if it shuts down? The IOT has to run 24/7 and if such an problem occurs, node-RED should restart automatically. Thanks in advance Kerem

So the service file has to look like this? [Unit] Description=Node-RED After=syslog.target network.target [Service] Type=idle ExecStart=/usr/bin/node-red -u %h/.node-red StandardOutput=syslog Restart=on-failure [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target After I do this, node red restart automatically? And what does systemctl daemon-reload mean?

There is some more options to set to optimize the behavior (see here). ks1905 And what does systemctl daemon-reload mean? This is simply updating the services after changes during operation.
