Dear experts,

I am forcing the following problem:

In order to have a SIMATIC Manager application backup (The file include Step7 PLC program and 2 WinCC Appl.). After that I copied the hole application file (located in C:Program Files (x86)\Siemens\Step7\S7Proj\...) and paste to my PC.

The client PC is crashed and now is necessary to create a new one. So I copied the backup file and when I tried to open the WinCC application from SIMATIC manager I received the warning:

"Opening the project failed. The path %1 could not be found"

Moreover into the project file, in wincproj I can see the two WinCC folders (for the 2 applications).

As I can undestand something happens with the project file, but all seems that are OK.

Please advice how can I open the WinCC Application from SIMATIC Manager.

When do you get this Error message?

Do you start the WinCC from SImatic Manager integrated?

Try to open WinCC standallone an open the *.mcp file from project folder.

If this works you can try to deintegrate:

and then delete the WIncc in Simatic Manager (then save as with reorg ) and do a new import of the OS.
