Dear Team,

I have a KP400 PN TP connected with S7-1200 CPU & a printer. It is used in Mixture application which is Batchwise process. 

I want to generate Batchwise report per batch & get a printout of it from the HMI via a connected printer. No external PC is connected to the process.

Constraints I am facing:

1) How to select the excel format!

2) How to define the batch per batchwise. Each batch takes approx 3~4mins for final output. Then how to define the Batch print function!

3) How to not utilise the PLC for this application. If I don't want to use PLC CPI for this purpose then how to create the application & what language to use for this purpose. Will be helpful if some guide can be provided for this language.

Still, now I haven't received any of the inputs from Support end. Also what @8Noodles have commented are showing various results which ultimately depict only assumptions & not valid results!

can you share any more information resp. a link relating that third party app?

KP400 is a Basic Panel? Not sure if there is a printing function, but for sure there is no scripting for Basic Panels. So you would have to manage it from the PLC.

Logging bit - done few years ago one for old MP277 HMI - the below code

creates a TXT log with header / footer - one file per batch.

It may need some manipulation to integrate in TIA Comfort HMIs but should give you a good starting point.
