I have a topic like this: I want to create a FB function for PLC S7-1200 to control many motors, including a star-delta starter motor, on each motor, there is a sensor (proximity sensor) to indicate that the motor is rotating. If the sensor does not respond within the preset time, stop the engine and report an error. I use the Timer, it only controls 1 motor, the other motors don't work. Please help me with ideas to fix the above error. Sincerely thank.

As I understand it, you are working with an FB that should be called several times but only works when only one motor / one FB is used. I would check if fixed timers, flags, addresses etc. are used in the block - if so, the block will only work once (1 call). Greetings, Towome

Glad if you can advise me on how to handle this situation. By the way, Thank you very much. What you need is multi-instance. The timer that is used in the FB should be part of the STAT declaration in the FB. Drag in the timer instruction and ask multi-instance. When using the FB, each call of the FB should have its own unique DB. Do the notes help you?
