WinCC Clients Auto Start Up Not working on all clients now

egktech Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	I have WinCC v6.2 on a server. I have 4 clients that use to login and start the runtime applciation on each client. I now get an error message when my AutoStartRT starts stating "Server Not Available". It just keeps rotating between the logn and the error message after that without starting. What would be my first step in trying to remedy this on my clients or server? I have attached a snapshot of the Server Simatic shell, the client Simatci shell along with the error screen we are seeing. All the configurations are right, the server is in Mutiluser mode, this did work until just recently. What is going on here? Attachment Server_Client Login Sanpshot Files.zip (115 Downloads)

cumulus Posts: 993 Rating: (103)	Hi You should check all conection option in WinCC, then you should create the server date. I thing that you have done allready. All clients and serverneed different IPs but the same Subnetmask. That means, that the clients should have the same subnetmask as the server. Please discribe more detail, how you create the clients and which conection setings you use. regards cumulus

cumulus Posts: 993 Rating: (103)	Hi Do you created the Serverdata and used it at the client? Do you have a connection to the server (without WinCC)? Try this: ping <computername> Do you realy usethe same subnetmask on both? Please create a new and easy project (p.E. 1 IOField)with server and client. Try with the new project ifit works. So that you can isolate the problem. regards cumulus

The problem appears when idid some modifications on the server and restart it, the client doesn't detect the server. I updated the server package and check the connections and the user permissions, everything was ok, but when i run the wincc client it doesn't work. The solution was restart the client computer. This problem was detected more than one time, and everytime this solution works fine. I hope it could be usefull for you. Regards Antonio Verduzco

egktech Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Thanks, but actually I found that rebooting didn't work. originally, I had to shutdown the computer and let it stay offline for about 10 to 15 minutes and then start up again and the client finds the server this time. Except now that doesn't work. Still in quandry???
