Y axis dropping in 840D machine when power failure

hb66 Member Joined: 4/18/2018 Last visit: 10/31/2024 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Dear Experts, We have Simodrive 611(siemens 840d) in our Heller's Horizontal CNC machine. The problem we are facing is that in case of Power failure or Power Dips the Y-axis of the Machine Falls downs (about 100mm)and thus cause damage to Tools and workpiece. Can anyone suggest any solution to this problem? 1. we have internal Brake in Y-Axis Motor.(we checked the brake and it working properly) 2. there is no counter balance in the Machine. 3. It does not drops when the Emergency Sw is pressed , Drops only if the the Main AC power fails. with regards.
