I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to create a report which contains date/time and username when a login attempt fails at the HMI panel. Is there a way to get this information?

Hello check system messages there is for example system event 260000 Invalid password or user name. You could write a vbscript that comes as event on incoming of this . 

So if you create  2 io fields with internal tags for password and user name and a button that says log in with event on pressed logon and as variables to log on your two internal tags .

So on loaded of event 26000 you get the time  by declaring a variable =now you have the value of the io field of password and username and you can store it to a csv excel or whatever you want!
