V20 0V digital connecting to 0V analog

AutoGen_4977088 Regular Member Joined: 7/8/2019 Last visit: 6/16/2023 Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Hello to all, In order to connect a treshold device to an existing V20 drive i would like to connect the "0V digital" to the "0V analog" . I will explain; i have a machine running at variable speeds 0 to 15 meter/min. and want a treshold at ,lets say, 4 meter/min. in order to switch on / off a burner . So i ordered a treshold device which is reading in the 0-10V analog-out from the V20 the device TELE OVL1 0-10V needs to be powered by 24V DC , i would like to use the 24V DC from the digital side of the V20 If i have a look at the wiring diagram V20 , i see the 0V analog input internally connected to the 0V analog-output symbolised by a dotted line. Since i do not see the 0V in the digital section connected to the analog 0V i am wondering if i can connect that 0V (belonging to the 24VDC ) also to the 0V analog. The treshold device internally connects it's 24VDC to it's analog input. Alternatively i could use a separate 24VDC powersource but that powersource also gets linked to the analog out from the V20 via the treshold device. Technology Team Platinum Expert Joined: 10/11/2006 Last visit: 8/29/2025 Posts: 6037 Rating: (828)	Hello Jan, in chapter 4.2 of the V20 operating instruction manual you can find detailed terminal descriptions. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109811111 The attached table is out of this chapter, so you see that terminal 5 “0V” of analog output is the same logical level as terminal 14, which is “0V” of the 24V supply.
