Please study this document before you continue working on this issue:

MICROMASTER 4 (MM4), SINAMICS G120 (CU240S/D, DP/DP-F, PN/PN-F): Essentials for PROFIBUS and PKW-mechanism.

PPO1 uses 2 separate zones for Profibus communication:

- PKW (Parameter values), 4 words, consistent over total

- PZD (process data), 2 words, Control word, Speed Reference, consistent over unit.

You already use the PZD area, from your experience with PPO3.  Suggestion: Continue working with this zone as you know how.

You can use PKW to change the value of one parameter at a time in your drive, but you must first use a DB to create a 4-word telegram (described in the PDF file in the link) that must be sent as a single message to the drive (consistent over total). This is when SFC 14 and SFC 15 must be used instead of Load/Transfer (Move) instructions as you have been using up to now. SFC 14/15 will work since the telegram occupies 8 bytes (the 4 PKW words), more than 5 bytes, so the SFC will accept the source/destination DB area as a parameter.

In the same link you will find 4 different sample programs for Step 7 v5.x, showing the use of Load/transfer and SFC 14/15 instructions with a MM4 drive over Profibus. You can examine them to see how the different communication mechanisms work.

 Hello Daniel, thanks for your useful information; please i want to know if it can be useed PKW mecanism to send recieve command status word in place of PZD; like we send start order in the parameter Pxx and change it from 0 to 1
