PROFIBUS DP unknown fault on bus

I have a machine (840d sl, PCU50) that is displaying a fault: PROFIBUS DP: fault on bus 03030002H slave 30042, code 0, time 53731213\|DT010\|C2 This fault does not stop operation, but displays on the message line constantly and interrupts other machine messages. I thought it was a fan module hour alarm, but reset all the fan hour counters and the alarm is still active. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, R

How many axes? what is the application? etc. etc. which shall help the members to analysis the fault. BTW, please check your PLC project hardware configuration for DP slave module which has address 30040 or attach the snap shot of PLC project. Check which module/device is connected.

cncnoob Posts: 23 Rating: (0)	Hi, This is an Atlas Rail portal lathe, 7 axes inc. spindle. It machines wheelsets for iron ore transport wagons. I've attached a snap of the HW config. I can't seem to find a slave with the address 30040, our diagnostic addresses are 8*** and node address are 2-36. Attachment hw config snapshot w60-2.jpg (341 Downloads)
