Hi, I'm still new in C script and this is my first time doing SCADA. At first I thought it was the same as C programming. But i noticed in order to write the value, i need to use SetTag().

My problem now is, I would like to write some data from WINCC to PLC or from PLC to WINCC. I've had no problem doing it, except for string data type. I can't seem to figure out why only string won't write/read. I'm using WINCC v7.4 and it communicates with PLC S7-1500 in TIA Portal V16. At this moment, I'm just simulating it.

Here's how i write the data from WINCC to PLC:

In the screenshot attached, you can see I managed to write FH01 set weight but not the recipe name. Can anyone please help me?

If you are using such data whom would be written from right to left , you will need define your virable as Wstring

Yes, i just realized the next day after posting this question that I needed to allocate memory for the string. So, i declared the data type for the recipe name as String[22] and it worked.
