EM231 4-20ma pt100 problem

cjgalway Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi, I'm just wondering if there is someone on this forum that may be able to help me. Unfortunely I have very little experience working with electronics. I currently have an em231 with a pt100 attached to it on a filling tank. What I am trying to do is get a 4-20ma signal from this and send it to an external board on a monitoring and alarm system which accepts 4-20ma signals. I'm hoping then to be able to convert this milliamp signal to centigrade using software which comes with the device. Basiclly creating a reference table from milliamps to temperature centigrade. What I'm wondering is if this possible. Attached i have a schematic of how the em231 is wired as well as the 4-20ma input board of the alarm system. The configuration switch on the em231 is currently set for 0 to 20ma. Thanks Attachment 4-20ma.jpg (242 Downloads)
