Hello

I can read the machine data from the NCU with a 3. party library as ACC files. For example _NC_AX1_TEA_ACC for Ax-1.  But the file is encoded. Does anyone know how I can read (decode) this ACC files?

Remark: I can read the same machine data also as NC_AX1_TEA. This is in text format. But this time I get , rel. to a machine data setting, sometimes only the machine data that differs from the default machine data values. Therefore I want to read with ACC format.

 

 Sorry for delay to answer you. I have known and worked with 840D PL from the year it released by Siemens-in 1996 I think. But I never know what is ACC file and I don't care how I can i read it or not.

Actually after you response --I guess--you want to read to easy understand NCMD file--let me know my guess is correct ?

Give you the suggestion, as you are dealing with NCMD, axis MD is part of NCMD.

"we do not want to change the given MD on all of them" --yes you are right. we upload NCMD from NCU to HMI --save to HDD or transfer out to external PC , there are 2 different formats.

#1--Archive --it is Binary format --it is not readable, the purpose for back up only

#2--Transfer out in "punch tape" format, it is easy to read , --I did not try it (such as axis MD) to save them in this format to the HMI HDD, but I really did many time in my services to transfer them out to external PC, this format is normally used for NC programs for programmer people to edit --save -then transfer back 

So I suggest you Use Siemen software "WinPCin" or any transfer SW attached to CAD/CAM (maybe your 3rd party sw as well) --but remember --setting transfer using "Punch tape "format

so may I suggest you to change you topic title to " How can I easy to read the value of NCMD files from 840D NCU "--my answer's key words is "using correct format"

Our machines are 840D powerline. Thank you for that info, i know this machine date, but there are few hundred machines in our plant, and we do not want to change the given MD on all of them.

The ACC File is the compiled form I think of the TEA file (I am only guessing). In the attachement you can see the file for AX1 that I have downloaded from a 840D pl NCU with a third party software (Deltalogic)

It 's like a dbase format, but I cannot read the file with dbf readers.
