Hi,

I am looking for some help with C Script.

The project I am working on has a number of different zones.  The client would like to know how many bypasses are on in each zone at any one time.

The bypass is bit7 of Status1 but I cannot seem to add together the three values. 

I am new to C Script so any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

When I compile I get the error "different levels of indirection" for the last line (return value4;)

There are also some errors in the code above. The comma is misplaced there. Curly brackets for a block aren't neccessary, but I use them in almost all cases.

By the way: The #define at the beginning, only make sense if you place them between the comments of the tag section, which is added as a template when you add a new C-script.

Thanks for the reply.  I have tried what you suggested and I am still getting the 'different levels of indirection' warning on my last line.

If I see it correctly you run that script with the datatype for the return value Char*

(you can see in the First line with the function definition)-> so the function expects a Char* as return value datatype

And here you do not return a Char*

so the compiler warns you that here is a conversion needed.

Thanks. I read what you sent but I still do not understand how to convert my 'value4' to a char.

I am new to C Script.  Do you have an example of how I could finish my script?
